Tackle just one little obstacle at a time

All of us like or would like to live a happy,

fulfilling and abundant life.

I have read so many self improvement books, purchased many self help programs, just to change the quality of my life and also other people’s lives around me.

I have tried and tested many of these ideas.

The ultimate question arises, do these really work? My finding to this was…

<img class="aligncenter wp-image-210" src="https://wealthy-affiliate-black-friday.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/yes-300×300.png" alt="yes" width="259" height="259" srcset="https://wealthy-affiliate-black-friday see page.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/yes-300×300.png 300w, https://wealthy-affiliate-black-friday.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/yes-150×150.png 150w, https://wealthy-affiliate-black-friday.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/yes-768×768.png 768w, https://wealthy-affiliate-black-friday.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/yes.png 1024w” sizes=”(max-width: 259px) 100vw, 259px” />

All the ideas about positive thinking, affirmations, visualizations, meditations etc, they all work wonders. Although all these techniques requires effort and self discipline.

Practicing these techniques once or twice will not make much of a difference. It has to be practiced and repeated several times a day.

You have to have the self discipline to keep up with the repetitions. In some cases even months on end.

Most people find this very hard due to most of us being naturally impatient.

We all like quick visible results rather than working hard for the long term results.

If you are like me, and like most people, that’s exactly how you feel.

I know this because I am writing from my own experience. I struggled to make these techniques work myself.

Then, what I did, is I took one thing,

and I worked at one thing only.

By using these techniques, on one thing, day in and day out worked like a charm, and before I knew it I was changing all sorts of “difficult” things in my life.

Things that seemed to be difficult before, those huge mountains that I thought I will never conquer I did, one at a time.

one obstacle at a time

You can do it too.

Every day holds the possibility of a miracle, even one tiny one at a time.

Staying positive is the main thing for me. It is a struggle at times. Putting in hard work and having nothing to show for it immediately. But you have to remember why you are doing this. For me it will be a better and easier life. That is something to work for. You just have to remain positive.

    • admin says:

Yes, you are right Owain. Staying positive is hard work, but it is totally rewarding. it is hard sometimes to just stay positive, but there are many ways to help yourself achieve that goal.

You are so awesome, thank you very much for stopping by and leaving me your comment. I greatly appreciate it and I wish you all success and good luck in your endeavors. And may you remain positive at all times, may the bad never have an opportunity to slip in and break you down.

      Thanx Owain

    Hi Marlene,

I agree most people are seeking instant gratification and instant answers, but life rarely works that way. I have never really purchased any self help books or read up on it, but when I was in high school I was severely depressed. I decided one day that I didn’t want to live that way. I decided I was going to get over it by myself. I forced myself to get up each day and to go to school and to smile when appropriate until one day I didn’t have to force myself anymore. I don’t think most people can do that and need self help books. I guess I have a lot of self discipline. I do live by what you said…taking it one step at a time. It really does work!

Hey Chas. Good on you, it’s rare that a person can lift themselves up without outside help. I admire you for that. Depression is not something one gets out of easily, once its taken its hold, it sticks hard.
But you can if you want to, I believe it starts with a decision just like you just decided and then you take it from there, one step at a time.

I am also one that rather stays quiet and helps myself, rather than anybody knowing what is going on with me. My self help material is like crutches, I use them to start being mobile, and then I pick myself up. And you are absolutely right, every time you force yourself to be stronger, it becomes easier and more natural. Then one day when you look back, you see that you’ve come a long way and you have been successful in yourself.

You are a great strong person, with a lot of self discipline. Thank you for stopping by my site and for leaving your comment. You brighten my day just by knowing there are someone out there that can pick themselves up. You are awesome, may you have great success in your personal life as well as your endeavors.

I do think that a lot of self development books do overlap but for the most part it is worth your time to read and spend money on these books. You only get one life – Why not be the best person you can be. You are not less of a person for seeking help. The problem is exactly what you said. It is the probably of application. Most people read and don’t apply thinking they will be better just by reading the information. Although you do get some things from reading it you have to apply it as well before you move onto the next book or topic.

    • admin says:

Yes I agree Matt, be the best that you can be, right now, every minute of every day.

Its true, many of these books and programs do overlap, but I have also found that each one I have read and done does have something that others don’t necessarily have. Still, that does not matter, I compare it to having fruits and vegetables for your body to grow healthy and strong, the same with these, you can never get enough, and even if you do get the same information more than once, it just makes it burn deeper into your mind and deeper into your life.

One can never get enough of good solid wholesome inspiration.

Thank you Matt for stopping by and leaving your great comment, you are amazing. Thank you. May you have a special wonderful day, and may you have great success in your endeavors.
By the way, I like your site a lot too http://impenetrableconfidence.com/ you have a lot of valuable information and help on there as well. Good work.
